This Privacy Policy explains what information Texas Groundwork LLC d/b/a Groundwork, a Texas limited liability company ("Groundwork," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit txgroundwork.com (the "Site") or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you buy Groundwork services, your engagement is also covered by the Groundwork Customer Agreement + Order Form.

1. Information you give us

Contact form. When you use the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and your message. The form runs on our website platform, Framer, which sends each submission to our support inbox at support@txgroundwork.com. Email sent to our domain is forwarded through our domain provider, Namecheap. We use this information to answer you.

Get-started screening questions. Our Get Started page asks a few yes/no questions, such as whether your business is based in Texas. This step does not ask for your name or email, and we do not store your answers. Your answers pass to the next page in the web address (URL) only.

Intake form. If you go on to our intake form, you give us information about you and your planned business, including your contact details, details about your business, and the answers you give about your business and setup. The intake form is provided by Tally, which processes and stores the responses for us.

Payments. Checkout happens on pages hosted by Stripe (buy.stripe.com). Klarna is offered there as a payment option. Your card or bank details go straight to Stripe or Klarna. Our Site never receives or stores them. Stripe sends us payment details such as your name, email address, billing information, amount paid, and payment status.

Email and other messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. Email sent to our domain is forwarded through our domain provider, Namecheap.

Information for delivering your services. If you become a client, we collect the business information needed to deliver the services you bought, as described in the Groundwork Customer Agreement + Order Form. We do not collect your Social Security number. You enter sensitive personal details yourself when you finish the LLC filing.

2. Information collected automatically

Framer site analytics. Our Site uses Framer's built-in analytics to count page views and visits and to see how the Site is used, such as the pages viewed, the referring website, and the device and browser type. Framer says its analytics do not use cookies or persistent identifiers and report usage in aggregate.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 ("Google Analytics"), a web analytics service from Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. When Google Analytics is active on the Site, we show a cookie consent banner, and Google Analytics sets its cookies only after you consent. With your consent, these cookies and similar technologies collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, how you arrived at the Site, your general location (based on IP address), and your device and browser type. Google processes this information for us under its own terms. Learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Hosting and technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Framer) and the services that deliver our fonts and files automatically receive technical information when your browser loads the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit. They use it to deliver and secure the Site.

3. Cookies

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser.

  • Google Analytics cookies. When Google Analytics is active, we first ask for your consent through a cookie banner. Analytics cookies (for example, cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>) are set only after you accept. These cookies tell visits apart and measure how the Site is used. They can last up to two years unless you delete them.
  • Framer analytics. Framer's built-in analytics do not use cookies.
  • Third-party pages and embeds. Stripe's checkout pages and the Tally intake form may set their own cookies, for example for security and fraud prevention. Those cookies are covered by Stripe's and Tally's privacy policies.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. You can decline analytics cookies in the consent banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop the Site from working.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • answer your questions and messages;
  • check whether Groundwork is a good fit for your business;
  • deliver the services you buy, process payments, and send receipts and service updates;
  • understand how the Site is used so we can improve it;
  • keep the Site and our business secure and prevent fraud; and
  • meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers that run parts of our business for us: Framer (website hosting, contact form, analytics), Google (Google Analytics), Tally (intake form), Stripe and Klarna (payments), and Namecheap (email forwarding, including contact-form submissions sent to support@txgroundwork.com).
  • Partners who help deliver your services, such as formation and registered agent partners, domain registrars, website hosts, e-signature providers, and licensed insurance brokers. We share only what each partner needs to do its part, as described in the Groundwork Customer Agreement + Order Form.
  • Legal reasons. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients, or others.
  • Business changes. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this Policy.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

  • Customer records are kept for 7 years after the engagement ends, to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
  • Inquiries from people who did not become customers are deleted after 2 years.
  • Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

We never store Social Security numbers or copies of ID documents.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including limiting who can access sensitive materials. No website or online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong; or
  • delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal, tax, or contract reasons.

To make a request, email us at support@txgroundwork.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can also opt out of Google Analytics as described in Section 2, and you can unsubscribe from any marketing emails with the link in the email.

9. Children

The Site and our services are for adults starting a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Where we operate

Groundwork is based in Texas and serves Texas businesses. Information is processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make important changes, we may also tell clients by email.
